Cleveland Companies Host Second Coating Technology Conference

November 7th Event Offers Dozens of Presentations and Lab Demos

(Cleveland, OH)   Two local companies involved in paint finishing technology are organizing a November 7, 2007 conference which will include technical presentations by twenty-two leading companies in the coatings field.

Following the success of Cleveland Coatings “Big 10-4” in 2005 which drew over 150 attendees, Artomation and sister company UV Robotics are putting together the event to be held at the Plaza hotel.

“Cleveland has always been at the center of the paint and coatings business with world class companies like Sherwin Williams, Glidden, PPG, Nordson and Akzo all having strong presences – so what better place to showcase the latest technology than right here” says Paul Mills, president of UV Robotics and organizer of the event.

This event is popular because of the both wide range of coatings topics and a hands-on laboratory portion of the program where attendees get to participate in live demonstrations of the technology in the nearby Artomation laboratory in Middleburgh Heights.” explains Mills.

“The conference offers presentations by large companies like Sherwin Williams, Dupont Nordson, Wagner and GE plastics” says John McDonough, President of Artomation, “but also smaller high-tech companies like Strathmore Coatings, Powder Coating Research Group and Magic Rack”

Nine of the sponsoring companies have strong Cleveland roots including: Nordson, Artomation, UV Robotics, DVUV, Kalcor Coatings, Q-Lab, Powder Coating Research Group, Chemical Methods (ProfitFinders), and Sherwin-Williams”

UV Robotics and sister company Artomation design and manufacture equipment for applying and curing coatings including UV curable coatings for automotive and industrial purposes.
